TIFTON, GA – The Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College will take,” A Walk Through History” with cowboys and Indians starting Saturday, October 20.

“A Walk Through History” is a part of ABAC’s Fall Frolics event that are held each Saturday.

The event will feature demonstrations on spinning, weaving, preserving, and primitive skills, performances by Native American re-enactors and dancers by Go Native Now led by Little Big Mountain, and Indian face painting. Visitors can also ride the train pulled by the 1917 steam locomotive.

Go back to the days of cowboys and Indians on Oct. 20 when the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College presents life in the 19th century with a “A Walk Through History” as part of Fall Frolics events held each Saturday in October.  

 “A Walk Through History” features demonstrations on spinning, weaving, preserving, and primitive skills, performances by Native American re-enactors and dancers by Go Native Now led by Little Big Mountain, and Indian face painting. Visitors can also ride the train pulled by the 1917 steam locomotive.

The Wiregrass Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m.-noon featuring Ken Harper and his Crew from 10-11 a.m. in the Wiregrass Tunes Concert Series.  

As always there will be a variety of fresh and local fall produce for purchase at the Market, located near the main entrance to the Museum at the Country Store.

The culmination of Fall Frolics is the Halloween event, Trick or Treat in the Village, on Oct. 27 that includes a Monster Spider Web, Historic Costume Contest, story time with the Museum Crone, and broom-making. 

Other events during the month include the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, open to the public every Saturday in October from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Admission to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village on Tuesday-Friday is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors (age 55 and over), $4 for children 5-16 years of age, and free for children four and under.

Saturday admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors (age 55 and over), $5 for children 5-16 years of age, and free for children four and under.
